(1) Whoever destroys the ballot paper, erases, defaces, corrects, mutilates, defaces or destroys the correct or seal of the election officer or polling officer on the ballot paper or any mark or indication on the ballot paper or in any other way damages or misuses the ballot paper or It should not be done.
(2) No person shall prepare fake ballot paper or transport such ballot paper.
(3) No one shall buy or sell ballot papers.
(4) No person shall carry with him or take out of the polling station an official stamped or marked ballot paper without voting (5) Any person who contravenes sub-section (1), (2) or (3) shall be punished with fine which may extend to one lakh rupees or with imprisonment for a term which may extend to two years or with both.
(6) The polling officer may impose a fine of up to twenty-five thousand rupees on a person who acts contrary to sub-section (4).
